AD and CVD investigations which are litigated simultaneously before the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission, involve complex legal, economic, policy and accounting issues. While technically challenging, these cases generate important and critical barriers to trade as soon as they are filed and must be defended effectively in order to prevent a foreign manufacturer and U.S. importers from being harmed in terms of a sudden and rapid decline in market share. Once imposed, AD and CVD orders are periodically reviewed, but will remain in place indefinitely.

For our clients, success in these cases results in having reduced special duties or potentially zero duties being imposed on specific imports. This allows our clients to recover from the potential harm caused by imposition of additional or special duties on imports of their products.
